Member Only Classes
We’re excited to offer classes created exclusively for members of WorkbenchRVA. These sessions are designed to grow your skills, as well as strengthen the sense of community and connection that makes our shop special.

We want you to feel welcomed, supported, and inspired every time you walk through the door. These classes provide a space to sharpen your skills, take on new challenges, and build relationships with fellow members who share your passion.

These workshops are more advanced than our standard offerings, therefore could span multiple days. However, the focus is always on maintaining a relaxed, casual, and enjoyable learning atmosphere where you can learn confidently and at your own pace.

These classes are FREE for members.
We simply ask that you cover the cost of materials.
Garden Bench (April)
With Spring in bloom and Summer on the way, a gorgeous outdoor bench is necessary. This class we will build an elegant garden sitting bench. We will make our benches from an outdoor acceptable lumber like Cedar, White Oak, or Sapele.
Material Cost $200.00
Entry Way Table (May)
In this class we will look at the many different skills and techniques required for building an entry table. This table will feature a beautiful wood top, two dovetail drawers, and a lower shelf. This table will be made of either Poplar or Maple.

One Night Stand (June)
We'll learn how to create a nightstand from scratch. The nightstand will feature one drawer, a wood top, and a lower shelf. Our nightstands will be made of either Cherry, Maple, or Walnut. You can use your newly learned skills to make a second one at a later date if you so choose.

Beautiful Outdoor Dining Table (July)
For this class, we're going to get ambitious and build a large outdoor dining table for the coolest wood ever, Sapele. This table's measurements are TBD, however it will roughly be 3ftx5ft or thereabouts. This will be a fun one!

Coffee Table (August)
In this class we'll make a small coffee table. This will test our abilities to cut a circular top or a fashion a rectangular one if you prefer. We'll make our coffee tables from either Cherry, Oak, Sapele, or Maple.

Small Bookcase (September)
As the air gets cooler and we enter the fall, it's a perfect time to cuddle up with a great book. This class we will create a simple small bookcase. The bookcase will feature adjustable shelves. We will make our bookcase from Cherry, Oak, or Maple.

Halloween Coffin (October)
What better holiday prop than an actual coffin! In this class we will build a coffin for Halloween or maybe for actual use too. We will use a combination of hardwood and plywood to build or coffins, either Maple or Oak.

Modern Computer Desk (November)
We'll end the year with the most advanced class, an exquisite computer desk for work/school. Perfect for getting started for the new year or give as an incredible gift for the holidays. We'll make our desks from Walnut, Maple, or Cherry.
